Ted Williams was a left fielder who played 19 seasons with the Red Sox. He is considered one of the best hitters of the history of the game. He was the last player to hit more than .400 in a single season in 1941, and he had the highest average of anyone of the 500 home runs club. During his amazing career Williams won the American League MVP twice. He was named Player of the Decade for the ’50. Among his incredible highlights he holds the record for most successive times reaching base safely with 16 in 1957. He is considered simply the best Red Sox of all time.
